"CROOKED RIVER" SCRIPT COMPLETED

Kevin and his wife Lisa recently completed a screenplay adaptation of Crooked River, an acclaimed young adult novel by Shelley Pearsall.

Set in 1812 Ohio, a young Chipewa Indian is accused of murdering a white trapper and imprisoned in a settler's home to await his trial. Young Rebecca Carver is terrified of the captive Indian in her home, but she soon learns that evidence may give way to vengence in a world of crude frontier justice. Told through the eyes of Rebecca and the captive Indian, Crooked River takes a sharp look at prejudice, early American justice, and the true meaning of courage.
