Introduction to Acting
8-Week Session — $200.00

This class for beginning actors focuses on the basic fundamentals of
acting -- from training oneself to think specifically to creating characters
to finding the truth in a scene or monologue. The class is based on
the approaches of Wynn Handman and Greg Zittel — in which a variety
of acting techniques are explored and distilled. Through this exploration,
the beginning actor starts to find his/her own way of working. The first
three classes are dedicated to exercises that introduce students to
the demands of acting. The final five weeks students will work on scenes.
This class is required to be eligible for the Tuesday Evening Master Class.

If you are interested in pursuing a career in acting, it is never too
early to start good habits, to be informed and, ultimately, find out
if acting is the career for you. Join Kevin for an in-depth workshop
for teens and their parents. Young actors will have the opportunity
to work on-camera on current television and film scenes and commercials,
learn about the audition process and find out what is truly expected
of them as actors.
Parents will get the straight story on how to begin a career, the various
options for acting training and how to identify the pitfalls along the
way.

This creative and challenging class focuses on scenes and monologues
as well as exercises geared to the specific needs of each actor. The
emphasis is on creating characters, taking risks and living truthfully
under imaginary circumstances. Since acting is doing, each student works
every class.
To be eligible to join the Master Acting class, you must complete the Intro To Acting class or you must audition.
Private Coaching
Kevin offers private coaching for all ages at $50 per hour ($40 per hour for current students).
